If you are looking at getting a new garage door or replacing your existing garage door, you might want to organise for an onsite inspection so the Rep can take measurements as well as showing you the different kind of garage doors you can choose from.
How do I prepare for a Measure & Quote?
Before giving us a call, it helps for you to have an idea of what you want so that we can serve you better. When you request for an onsite measure & quote, we will be asking you the following questions;
1. What kind of garage door do you currently have? Take notice of your existing garage door, is it a Roller Door, Sectional or Tilt Door? If you’re not sure, please read our other post here. If it’s a new garage, simply tell us “it’s a new opening with no existing door”.
2. What kind of garage door are you looking at getting? Similar question to question 1, are you after a Roller Door or Sectional Door? If you’re not sure, you can send us some photos or have a look at our Garage Doors page. If you’re after a Sectional Door, take note of the TYPE of sectional door you’re after. This includes: standard colourbond, timber looks or Alucabond etc.
3. Are you after automation as well? Do you want to make it automatic with remote controls? We will itemise the quote and give you a separate price for automation.
4. Do you want us to take down & remove your existing door? This might be an obvious question, but some customers do choose to take the old door down themselves or wish to dispose the old door later on by themselves. Please let us know and we will adjust price accordingly.
5. Are you ready to go ahead with you’re happy with the price? We do not mean to be rude at all when we ask this question. This simply gives us an idea of what stage you’re at. Some people ask for quotes to simply budget for a future project. If you’re ready to proceed with the job, we will prioritise the job differently.
Once we’re through with the above questions, we will organise for a suitable date & time to visit you to take final measurements & provide you with a price. If you’re ready to proceed, you can also choose details such as pattern, texture & colour or just the colour for Roller Doors.
