Our Customers express a lot of concerns about whether our business is legitimate?
We’ve been told many many times by many many Customers that they have been scammed before.
It’s perfectly understandable since we are an online based business. Some of our Customers have never met us. We even supply to Brisbane Customers who are in a different state and have never met us. So we can totally understand if you some of you are concerned, especially our Brisbane Customers.
We have written about how to validate or verify an online business before dealing with them. You can have a read about it on our website. But we thought it’s a good idea to talk more about it in this article, to give our Customers more reassurance that we are a genuine, legitimate business.
Where are we located?
Now. First of all, the question we get asked very often is “Where are you located?”.
Customers who ask this, obviously want to know whether we have a physical office address that they can come and see us? To know that we are real and we won’t run away with their money.
To answer that, we are located at Bass Hill NSW 2197. We have a home based business setup since we do are mainly online based, we don’t feel the need for a physical office since many of our Customers don’t need to come in to see us. And with low overheads, we are able to sell our product a cheaper rate than other suppliers who have large offices and warehouses. If you need to see us, you’re welcome to come to bass hill. But we do need to make an appointment for a specific date & time. We don’t list our full address online since it’s a residential property, but if you make an appointment with us, we’ll text you the full address. Now, some people are concerned when they google the address and see a residential property. But we can re-assure you, it’s not a scam, we do have a home office and we do existing.
The product themselves, which are the garage doors, are made in our supplier’s factory which is either at Smithfield or in Pinkenba factories. We are a Gliderol’s reseller. We don’t make the garage doors, we help you select the doors, then doors get made in those factories and you come to those factories to pick them up. If you’re in Sydney, you will go to 45 Sammut St, Smithfield to pick up and if you’re In Brisbane, you will pick up at 20 Randle Rd, Pinkenba 4008.
Ways to know if a business is legitimate
We have touched on this topic in our other video and we’ve written about it, see the article on our website which outlines ways that you can verify us by doing an ABN search, search for Gliderol contact number and verify us by our dealer codes.
When you get an invoice from us, you can see that all business details are disclosed including our address, our dealer codes, our ABN etc, then you know we are legitimate.
Personally, when I deal with an online business, I do a couple of things to back myself up. First of all, I look at their current online prescence including their facebook business page, their facebook reviews or whether it’s Gumtree or Instagram or other social media prescence. Is the business active? How old are their Customers reviews? I know, if anything happens, if they run away with my money, I can definitely report them or leave a review / feedback on one of these platforms. You can do the same with us. Secondly, I could verify them by calling up the supplier’s direct number and do a background check. I would Google the contact number myself and call us that specific brand or manufacturer and check on this dealer or reseller. Lastly, I would ask for proper invoices with ABN and addresses, so I know if anything goes wrong with this transaction, I have all the paperwork I need to report them to Department of Fair Trading or consumers affairs.
